## What is KeyMark? KeyMark is an extension for Adobe After Effects. You play your track in the KeyMark panel and tap keys along with the beat, and a marker lands in After Effects at the exact moment you hit each key. Keys can have names like Kick or Snare, and each one can drop markers in its own color. ## What do I need to run it? After Effects 2025 or later. We've tested it on 2025. Windows is fully supported. The Mac version is still in beta; see [KeyMark on Mac (beta)](/keymark/mac-beta) for details. ## How many computers can I use it on? Two. One license covers up to 2 devices. ## I'm switching to a new computer. What do I do? Open Settings in KeyMark on your old computer and click "Deactivate this device." Then activate KeyMark on the new one and you're done. Old computer already gone? That's fine. Activate on the new one anyway, and KeyMark will ask which device to remove. There's a monthly limit on device changes, to keep licenses from being shared around. ## Does it need an internet connection? Only when you activate, plus a quick background check about once a week. Once activated, KeyMark keeps working offline for up to 30 days. ## What languages does it support? English and Japanese. You can switch between them in KeyMark's Settings. ## Can I undo markers? Yes. Every time KeyMark sends markers to After Effects, that counts as one undo step, so Ctrl+Z (Cmd+Z on Mac) takes it back. ## Where's my license key?
